Ok the traffic not to bad as the kids are off school, however this is going to end in a few weeks. The traffic goes to hell and all the mothers will be happy that their little angles

will be someone else’s problem for a few hours every day.

At Complete Pest Control Dublin we have plenty of technicians around the city so traffic is not a problem. Each pest control technician has their own area which they cover. Normally

the pest control technician lives in the area they cover, this gives them great local knowledge.

The next thing on our radar with the winter months coming in will be rodents ( Rats / Mice ), now is the time to be checking your home with regard to access points. Rats and

mice are looking for a easy touch. Holes around pipes, damaged vents, etc. You need to check from about your knee height down.

If the rodents can get into you home you won’t have a problem this winter.

Pest Control Dublin – Rats

Winter is on the way and the rat jobs are starting to come in. Due to the mild summer the rats and mice have been quite happy to live outdoors and they have done quite well. Now the temperature is dropping a bit at night they are look for somewhere warm to stay and means your home.

Check your home for access points around pipes, gaps under door, etc. Don’t leave out pet food in the garden, keep all food stuffs in containers, well sealed.

Some signs that you might have rats and require pest control.

Noise – most people complain about hearing scratching noises in attics, inside walls and under flooring.

Droppings – These are about the size and shape of a coffee bean and are black in color.

Gnaw marks – Rats teeth never stop growing and they need to continuously gnaw anything they can find, wood, plastic, etc.

Rat burrows – A rats natural habitat is to burrow a nest underground, we normally find these under shed in the garden, however if the temperature drops and they get the chance they will move into your home.

We have had an increase in the number of calls for rats, normally the cold winters help keep the number under control. This year the winter was not to bad and as a result more rats survived and that mean more breeding pairs. You will need to check your home for entry points, these are normally gaps around pipes, broken vents, or holes close to the ground. Its better to spend a bit of time addressing these holes rather than trying to get rid of a rat in your home.
