Please be careful out there, its that time of the year when people start to get stings off wasps. The bad news is that they have started

early this year and as long as the weather stays warm ( above 15 C or so) the wasps nest will do well.

If you find a wasps nest don’t go near it, they will attack ……  Stay calm don’t wave your arm around in the air trying to shoo them away.

This will only get them excited and worked up and again they will attack.

 

Not much can be done to prevent a wasps nesting in or around home or garden, you need to keep an eye for wasp activity, as the summer

goes on you will see wasps coming and going from the wasps nest.

 They have started, the wasps are back and this time they are not alone. It’s that time of the year again that the wasps will be harassing us every time we try and enjoy our gardens ( in between showers ). This year we have had a huge increase in the number of calls about Ants, They are not only in people’s garden but they are also invading people houses.

 Ants can cause a real problem once they a have entered your home, they will get everywhere is their pursuit to find food. Putting ant power down can help and kill a few but you really need to find the nest to solve the problem.

 If you require advice on what to do our if you require our help in dealing with the problem just give us a call.

With regard to the wasps you should really not try and deal with the problem yourself as wasps can be very aggressive in defending their nest.

Please be careful …..We have all the proper equipment to deal with the nests and know what we are doing. However if you are going to try and deal with the problem yourself, one piece of equipment you will require are a good pair of runners, trust me you will need them ……..

 A number of people have rang us after blocking up the hole were the wasps are going in a vent or a hole in the wall, this is a bad idea…. What happens is the wasps will try to find another way out which is normally in the house and that is not good news.

 As the summer goes on the wasps will become more aggressive and will sting without any real reason, so if you find a nest think twice about going near it, if you need advice or help in dealing with a nest just give us a call.

The normal area’s you will find the nests will be holes in the ground, Vents, Attics. You will see a lot of activity with wasps coming and going.
