Silverfish

They are nocturnal, normally located near excessive humidity (bathrooms, kitchens). They are attracted to paper, wallpaper, infrequently used books and paper products that have a high starch content.

Appearance

Silverfish are about 1/4 inch – 1/2 inch long, gray or silver in colour. They have three strands extend from rear.

Breeding

The silverfish lay approximately about 45 eggs per batch, the reproductive cycle is 60 – 80 days. The eggs are very small and deposited in cracks and crevices. Under ideal conditions, the eggs hatch in two weeks, but may take up to two months to hatch.
