This is now the time rodents will be looking for somewhere warm to spend the winter. If you are unlucky it might be your house, make sure you check your home for enter points. Rats and mice are opportunists and if they find a enter point into your home they will take it. You need to check things like holes around pipes, gaps under external door, vents etc.

If you get a rat/mouse in your home you’re probably wondering why me. Sometime its just down to bad luck, they have found easy access to your home. Other things that can attract rodent are rubbish bins, Pet bowls that are left out in the back garden.

Hi Stephen,

Composting bins are a good idea, you can add organic material such as kitchen or garden waste. This will reduce the amount going into your normal bin. However like any bin containing kitchen waste ( Food), your compost bin can attract Rats, Mice, Cats, Flies if you leave the lid of your bin open, just make sure once you have finished putting stuff inside the bin you close the lid and you should not have a problem. Once your bin has been emptied you should give it a quick wash out with your garden hose to keep it clean.

I hope this has helped, if you have any more questions feel free to contact us.
